Social and economic inclusion
The University of Ljubljana is committed to the socio-economic inclusion of students and to creating equal opportunities and conditions for success in the academic environment. We are aware of the social and economic diversity among students, but it is important to ensure equal access to higher education and equal opportunities for success and the development of potential. We want to create an environment where no one drops out of university because they can no longer afford it financially.

Students at the University of Ljubljana can also apply for special scholarships from various foundations and institutions under UL:

Heart University
The "Heart University" charity campaign collects donations for students at the University of Ljubljana who are in financial need. The aim of the campaign is to solve students' short-term financial problems. The fundraising campaign takes place throughout the year and the call for applications is published once a year. The University of Ljubljana responds to events in the surrounding area and issues further calls for proposals as needed, as in the case of support for students affected by the war in Ukraine and financial support for students and staff affected by the floods in Slovenia.
