Available employment position: UNIVERSITY TEACHER  – 1 position

This is a regular Full-Time position requiring 40 hours per week.

Conditions for the position:

• doctoral degree (PhD, according to the former system or 3^rd Bologna level) in the field of the computer science or informatics;
• valid habilitation title of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the field of the Informatics in public administration (according to the Criteria for Election Into Titles of University Teachers, Science Workers and Associates, published at the website of the University of Ljubljana), or an academic title of another institution, under the condition that this title can be recognized in the process of recognizing at the University of Ljubljana; or the fulfilment of the conditions for obtaining the “habilitation” of university teacher (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in the field of the Informatics in public administration). In this case, together with the application, it is necessary to submit proofs of compliance with the quantitative and qualitative criteria for the election to the academic title or for recognition of the title in accordance with the criteria. The candidate must also enclose a statement that he/she agrees that in the event of a positive decision of the selection board, his/her application is also considered as an application for his/her election to the title or for recognition of the title.
• (The title must be obtained before the signing of the employment contract.);
• knowledge of the Slovenian language at the level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). If the selected candidate, when filling the position,  does not fulfill this condition, he must fulfill it no later than three years after the employment.

Functional knowledge and other requirements:

• rhetorical skills, innovativeness, ability to organize one’s own work;
• ability to lead groups and active work with students.

Short description of employment position and tasks:

• designing and updating of curriculum and adaptation of university and higher education study programmes,
• organization and co-organization of all activities relevant to the execution of study courses in accordance with curriculums and developments in the professional field, coordination of work and control over the work of other teaching staff (assistants, technical and other staff),
• lectures for students, conduct of seminars and other pedagogical activities on the subject at undergraduate and post-graduate study programmes,
• guidance of research work and other study activities of students and mentoring for students in their seminary papers, diploma theses and other work,
• scientific research work, study and development of concepts, theories and methods.

• evidence of the valid habilitation title of a higher education teacher or evidence of compliance with the qualitative and quantitative criteria for election to the title or for recognition of the title, in accordance with the Criteria, or the evidence of valid title of the guest teacher at UL.
• references in the field of performing the foreseen tasks and the tasks from the fields required in the conditions for performing the work.
