Synchronising Micro-Credentials in the EU Ecosystem: Opportunities and challenges for learners, employers, and higher education institutions

On May 27, 2025, an international seminar "Synchronizing Micro-Credentials in the EU Ecosystem: Opportunities and Challenges for Learners, Employers, and Higher Education Institutions" took place at the Permanent Representation of Slovenia to the EU in Brussels, organised by the University of Ljubljana and the Slovenian Business and Research Association (SBRA) in Brussels.
The seminar brought together various stakeholders from higher education and business to discuss the role of micro-credentials in today's educational ecosystems and broader society.
The seminar fostered constructive dialogue between all relevant stakeholders, highlighting that the successful future of micro-credentials requires a coordinated European approach to quality, which must also be based on institutional practices and partnerships with the external environment.
