About the programme

The main objective of the Master's degree programme in Library, Information and Publishing Studies is to train Master's students to work in all types of organisations involved in the storage, organisation and dissemination of information.

The Information Science major specifically prepares students for the organisation of information in the economic and non-economic sectors, the Librarianship major for the most demanding professional and managerial work in libraries, and the Publishing major for the most demanding professional work in book-publishing and other media companies, as well as in economic, governmental and non-governmental organisations where publishing activities are carried out.

As the field of library, information and publishing studies is concerned with the study of all aspects of information from its creation to its dissemination and use, and with the design of processes and services for effective access to information, the profession of information professional such as the one trained by the programme is one of the professions of the future.
