About the programme
The fields of maritime and transport combine knowledge of integrated engineering and technology systems and processes in maritime, transport, traffic and transport logistics. The need for a high-quality and up-to-date doctoral programme for the acquisition of relevant skills in the field of transport and maritime sciences is also dictated by the highly dynamic development of the sector, which, under the influence of globalisation processes, is one of the most important economic activities in the world and represents a driving force for overall socio-economic progress. The Maritime and Transport doctoral programme is designed to train independent researchers with a broad expertise and in-depth fundamental methodological knowledge, qualified to carry out independent and creative scientific research and development work in the fields of maritime and transport.
