About the programme

The graduates of the Spanish Language and Literature bachelor programme acquire all the expertise and intercultural linguistic competence which are recognised by international standards as the fundamental knowledge and competence of a bachelor of a combined programme of Spanish, and are capable of critical and flexible use of the acquired expertise and competence in association with the other study programme or field. In use, they are able to take into consideration all circumstances of a particular context.
Among the acquired knowledge and competence, the following are especially worth of highlighting: knowledge of all the levels of the Spanish language system, ability of listening, spoken, written and reading use of Spanish, knowledge of the linguistic contact between Spanish and Slovene, knowledge of the conditions and different circumstances of intercultural communication, basic knowledge of the cultures and literatures of the Spanish speaking communities, openness and ability to understand speakers of Spanish and other languages, capability to cooperate linguistically and eliminate communicative obstacles, consciousness about the need for constant upgrading of already acquired knowledge and competence in accordance with the quick development of the professional field and willingness for such upskilling.
