About the programme

The main goal of the higher education professional study programme Textile and clothing engineering is to acquire and develop knowledge in the field of textiles and clothing that is oriented towards environmentally friendly, advanced and high-quality materials and processes. The programme promotes interdisciplinarity, creativity and social responsibility, and enables the understanding of modern development trends in the field of textiles in the European and global area.

The aim of the study programme is to train an expert who is able to master the technologically advanced processes for the production of yarns, woven and knitted fabrics, nonwovens, technical textiles and composites, clothing and other final products, as well as the processes of bleaching, dyeing, textile printing and a wide range of finishing processes. Students learn about the production of special textiles with functional properties etc., using the guidelines of green and digital transmission. Graduates of the study programme build on the knowledge they have acquired through projects and research work, as well as the practical skills that they acquired through internships in connection with the industry.
