The University of Ljubljana has various committees. SMUL members can participate in the following committees:
- Committee for Outstanding Supervisors: for selecting outstanding supervisors to be awarded additional supervisory positions to train young researchers on their path to obtaining their doctorate of science.
- Committee for the Dr Ana Mayer-Kansky Prize: for selecting outstanding doctoral theses at the University of Ljubljana.
- Committee for the Dr Uroš Seljak Prize: for selecting the best scientific articles by first- and second-cycle students in Slovenia.
