Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television

The Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television of the University of Ljubljana (UL AGRFT) carries out educational, artistic and research work in the field of theatre, radio, film and television. From its foundation in 1945 until 1975, it operated as an independent higher education institution with a rector, after which it became a member of the University of Ljubljana.

The Academy offers publicly valid programmes of study at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in the fields of drama, directing, dramaturgy and performing arts, speech, movement, set and costume design, and film and television arts and sciences, and is a vehicle for artistic activity, which it engages in through public theatre productions, short documentary and fiction films, and radio and television broadcasts. Her scientific and research activity is focused on the study of theatre and film studies.
