ECOTOPIA Summer School (ECOTOPIA Summer School) The Educational and Research Network for the Development of Short-term Mobility Programmes (EUOTOPIA), which took place for the first time this summer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana (UL EF), was selected as one of the EUTOPIA affiliated communities. Participation in the EUTOPIA Affiliated Communities is an important step towards internationalisation for the University of Ljubljana (UL), as it allows for the pooling of teaching and research between partner universities.

Members of the academic community of EUTOPIA replace MEPs for a day in the European Parliament's central debating chamber
This year, EUTOPIE universities marked the start of the academic year in a particularly festive way, with the presence of students, professors and ten rectors at the European Parliament, where they gave up their central debating chamber for this important and symbolic event last Friday. In doing so, they made European politicians aware of the importance they attach to science and university education.

EUTOPIA invites students to register for a debate event in Paris
Two students from the University of Ljubljana (1st or 2nd level) will have the opportunity to participate in the 1st EUTOPIA Ideas Club. This is an international student club that aims to raise awareness of European values. The first meeting will focus on the theme of inclusion and cultural diversity. The aim is to give students a voice in shaping and developing a European identity and inclusive citizenship.

EUTOPIA's 2023/2024 Academic Year officially launched this year with the signing of the formal establishment of EUTOPIA as a non-profit international institution
Europe, EUTOPIA and the need for a new renaissance are the words that epitomise this year's launch of the EUTOPIA Academic Year 2023/2024, which will be organised in close cooperation with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) at the European Parliament. Jan Danckaert, Rector of VUB, announces: "The European Parliament is the ideal venue for our EUTOPIA Academic Opening Session. My message is clear: Europe and the world need a new renaissance and a new enlightenment, and alliances like EUTOPIA are key to achieving this vision."

Eutopia MORE Universities and the Rectors' Forum of South-Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans on internationalisation strategy
On 12 and 13 June 2023, the first workshop on internationalisation strategy was held at the University of Montenegro in Podgorica, in the framework of the European Association of Universities Eutopia More and the Rectors' Forum of South-Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans. The workshop was also attended by the Rector of the University of Ljubljana, Prof. Dr. Gregor Majdič.

Teden Zveze EUTOPIA v Lizboni: registracije so odprte!
Z izhodiščem v premisleku Za boljšo Evropo (For a Better Europe), bo med 19. in 23. junijem 2023 potekal izbran nabor dogodkov za študentke in študente, raziskovalke in raziskovalce ter zaposlene na partnerskih univerzah EUTOPIE – učne in raziskovalne skupnosti desetih evropskih univerz, ustanovljene z namenom aktivnega sodelovanja pri ustvarjanju in prenovi skupnega visokošolskega prostora. Srečanje zveze desetih evropskih univerz EUTOPIA bo gostila Univerza NOVA v Lizboni. Dogodki bodo potekali v živo in prek spleta.

The Multilingualism and Diversity Conference on 12 July 2023 is an opportunity to gain experience by presenting your research to a supportive student community, questioning and deepening your knowledge, and networking with peers who share similar academic interests.
