The fundamental objective of the Mechanical Engineering Doctoral Programme is to train highly qualified professionals to carry out independent scientific research work, to create new knowledge and to plan development work in the mechanical engineering sciences. The programme places particular emphasis on teamwork and interdisciplinary integration. The transfer of new knowledge into the economic environment is also of major importance.
