Graduates of this programme learn to speak, read, write and listen to Portuguese, as well as learn about literature in Portuguese and the cultures of the Portuguese-speaking world. They will be able to apply the knowledge acquired critically and flexibly in relation to another subject or field of study, and will be able to respond appropriately in the socially, culturally and ethnically diverse environments of the society of the Portuguese-speaking world in terms of history, geography, political science, culture and the arts. They will acquire the skills of interlingual and intercultural transmission from Slovene to Portuguese and vice versa. They will be employable in economic organisations, e.g. in the fields of human resources management and management, international markets, public relations, tourism, book publishing and publishing. They will also be able to find work at all levels of education, cultural life, research, public administration, the media and in the European Union institutions.
