Goran Turk proposes an upgrade to the course ‘Fundamentals of Statics and Dynamics’, which is attended by approximately 120 first-year students on the Civil Engineering degree programme. He envisages this modernisation through two key areas of development. The first is the further development of teaching aids using 3D printing, which would enable physical models of structures to be assembled on metal boards, thereby illustrating key concepts more clearly. The second focus is the development of a UI assistant to help students with their coursework and exam questions in statics and dynamics. The aim of the update is to enable students to gain a better understanding of the subject matter, progress more quickly and receive additional support for independent study.

The multiplier proposes a gradual upgrade of courses across the academic curriculum, starting with the course “New Media Art and Animation,” followed by the courses “Virtual Worlds” and “Speculative Reality.” The update is based on the systematic integration of AI, VR/AR technologies, and collaborative digital tools into various phases of the creative and production process. The purpose of this change is to design a modern, technology-supported learning process that enables students to engage in more active, in-depth, and practice-oriented learning, while strengthening their creative, research, and production-and-organizational competencies.

The multiplier will carry out a pilot upgrade of the course “Drawing and Techniques I,” which is offered during the winter semester of 2026/27 in the Department of Conservation and involves a small group of students. This initiative stems from the observation that in courses with a strong emphasis on practical and procedural work, students often fail to systematically document the development of their drawing and technical skills, making it more difficult for the instructor to comprehensively monitor their progress, which is often evident primarily in the process itself, not just in the final product. The solution lies in the introduction of an e-portfolio integrated into the Moodle online classroom, which would become the central tool for documenting, monitoring, and reflecting on the learning process. The purpose of this change is to increase transparency in learning, strengthen students’ autonomy and reflection, and enable higher-quality formative feedback in the studio environment.

The teacher proposes a pilot upgrade of the course “Computer Science in Sports,” which will be taken in the winter semester of 2026/27 by approximately 200 first-year undergraduate students in the Physical Education, Kinesiology, and Sports Coaching tracks. This proposal is based on the observation that while students can find the course content online, it is not compiled in a unified, clear, and student-friendly format; consequently, students—especially those who do not attend lectures—find it more difficult to learn the material on their own. The solution lies in the development of an interactive book that, in addition to explaining the content, will also include assignments, exercises, and video content for ongoing reinforcement and active knowledge acquisition. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring that the material supports independent study, makes it easier to make up for missed classes, and encourages students to be more active in following the course as it progresses.

The teacher proposes a pilot upgrade of the course “Management and Safety,” which will be taken by approximately 120 students in the coming academic year. This proposal stems from the observation that the course’s exercises and seminar work are largely conducted in a home environment, where independent student work is crucial, but where it is also more difficult to maintain motivation, monitor understanding, and provide regular feedback. Therefore, the goal is to enhance the online classroom with additional features and interactive content, such as Moodle quizzes, H5P, and tools for interactive presentations. The goal is to create a more dynamic, structured, and engaging learning environment that would enable students to be more actively involved, provide them with a clearer overview of their own progress, and foster a better connection between theoretical content and practical assignments.

The multiplier proposes enhancing flipped distance learning by incorporating data analytics, synthetic data, and generative artificial intelligence. This stems from the challenge that artificial intelligence is transforming the ways we learn, while at the same time making it more difficult to monitor student work. Therefore, the multiplier aims to design clearly structured learning activities that guide students toward the responsible and meaningful use of these tools. The goal is to strengthen students’ understanding of complex social and organizational problems and to improve their ability to make data-driven decisions.

Working in groups, students would analyse specific service organisations, identify challenges and, on this basis, devise communication solutions. Artificial intelligence would be used to support research, idea generation and content production, whilst emphasising critical thinking and ethical use. The aim is for students to understand artificial intelligence as a tool for strategic decision-making, rather than as a shortcut in their work.

The course is fundamentally designed to be project-based, creative, and highly practical; therefore, the instructor aims to enhance the existing curriculum, particularly in the introductory phase of projects, where the use of generative AI would boost motivation, aid in the visualization of ideas, and facilitate coordination with external clients. When designing scripts and shooting scripts, students will use AI tools to create storyboards, sketches, and other supporting visualizations, which will help them develop ideas more easily and present them more clearly to the client. The goal of this update is to enhance the creative process, improve understanding of the project assignment, and provide students with modern tools for a more thoughtful production of the final video.

Through dynamic models, students could test the effects of various parameters (e.g., step size, tolerance, convergence) and observe the consequences in real time. This approach is complemented by project-based work, small-group collaboration, and peer assessment.
