Multipliers
By establishing a community of multipliers across the University of Ljubljana’s member institutions, we aim to create an environment that will ensure the transfer of knowledge regarding the use of ICT in the teaching process, with the aim of actively involving all students in the teaching process to encourage the use of higher-order cognitive processes, linked to the development of the skills and knowledge required for the 21st century across various fields of study.

The lecturer proposes to enhance two modules in the field of animal nutrition by introducing a problem-based, research-oriented teaching model supported by digital tools. This stems from the observation that students often take a passive role and find it more difficult to link theoretical knowledge to practical situations. She aims to transform part of the course content into authentic problem-based challenges drawn from a real-world professional context. Students will work in small groups to solve practical case studies, using digital tools for collaboration, data analysis and reflection on their learning. Some of the activities will be supported by artificial intelligence to assist with research, drafting and self-assessment, with particular emphasis placed on the critical evaluation of results.

The idea behind this update is for first-year master’s students to use artificial intelligence in a structured manner to analyze key EU strategic documents as part of the course. The goal is not merely to use new tools, but to develop a critical, responsible, and reflective approach to the use of artificial intelligence. This update promotes a deeper understanding of the economic effects of public policies and strengthens students’ ability to evaluate the results of artificial intelligence in a reasoned manner.

The update consists of the thoughtful integration of generative artificial intelligence into practical, project-based film education. Students work in collaborative groups, with mentoring support and in dialogue with industry professionals, critically exploring the role of artificial intelligence in the creation of audiovisual content. The main aim of the update is to develop an independent, reflective and creative use of new technologies that strengthens artistic vision and provides a transferable pedagogical model for various higher education disciplines.

The meaningful and critical integration of generative artificial intelligence in the design process
Opis
The multiplier proposes a pilot project that systematically integrates generative artificial intelligence into the design process. The project is based on existing practice, in which students develop ideas into a final product, and on the need for an in-depth understanding of contemporary digital tools. In the introductory phase, students will use genAI to simulate members of the target group, test ideas, and conduct interviews. Subsequently, they will use genAI as a support tool for creation and reflection. The goal of this advanced course is to foster a critical, responsible, and creative use of artificial intelligence and to strengthen students’ ability to make independent decisions, analyze, and reflect during the design process.

The idea behind the course update is for the instructor to establish, within the framework of the existing course, a digital, simulation- and data-supported learning environment in which students learn about the smart factory through a unified problem-based scenario. Students actively model processes, analyze data, and reflect on their decisions. The update is designed to improve students’ understanding of the connections between architectures, data flows, and technologies, and to foster their independence and active engagement.

The systematic integration of artificial intelligence into the entire research process of students
Opis
This development idea builds upon the project-based work in the course by incorporating a more systematic and structured use of artificial intelligence in all phases of the social science research process. The pilot will enable the formalization of methods, the preparation of use cases, and the establishment of protocols for the responsible use of AI in various stages of research—from literature review and initial ideas through data collection and analysis to the final report and presentation. Particular emphasis is placed on the reliable, critical, and methodologically sound use of AI in social science research.

The use of artificial intelligence for personalized feedback and assignments in academic writing
Opis
The multiplier addresses the current challenge of teaching academic writing in English in the era of generative artificial intelligence. It proposes the development of a teaching model that provides students with additional corrective feedback on their academic writing—in addition to that provided by the instructor—generated using artificial intelligence. In addition, the model provides students with personalized, goal-oriented writing assignments designed to improve their writing based on identified linguistic and discursive weaknesses.

The multiplier proposes the development of interactive, AI-supported video materials for visualizing Roman law case studies, which build upon the existing casuistic teaching method. The aim is to improve understanding of abstract legal processes by presenting individual cases step-by-step in a visual format, supported by diagrams and explanations. The materials will serve as a supplement to class exercises—as an explanatory and review tool. The update also includes active student participation in content development, which further promotes understanding, as well as the use of artificial intelligence for scenario development and video production. The goal is to create sustainable, transferable digital materials that enhance learning in one of the more challenging courses.

The multiplier is introducing a VR-supported learning model for pharmacy students in the final phase of their studies. By using existing VR equipment and realistic scenarios, it aims to improve patient counseling skills, increase student engagement, heighten their awareness of the complexity of real-world situations, and enhance the transfer of knowledge into clinical practice through virtual simulation. Digital technologies are used as a tool for in-depth learning of communication skills and professional decision-making, enabling learning without risk to patients. This approach is also transferable to other fields where working with people and handling unpredictable situations are of critical importance.
