Dr Janja Komljenovič

After studying psychology at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, she obtained her PhD at the University of Bristol, UK. In her research, she examines the political economy of the digitalization of higher education, with a focus on digitalization, datafication, and platformization of universities, as well as the emergence of new forms of economic and social value in the digital higher education space.

Her work is highly interdisciplinary, connecting economic sociology, science and technology studies, and higher education research. Dr Komljenovič is the author of numerous international publications in the fields of higher education policy, higher education markets, and educational technology. In addition to her research, she serves as a consultant on international higher education policy projects, acts as a reviewer for national quality assurance agencies, and is a member of committees of international organizations.

Dr Komljenovič welcomes motivated doctoral and postdoctoral students interested in the above-mentioned research areas. She is also open to collaborative research projects with researchers at the University of Ljubljana.
