UL FKKT Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the International Master’s Program MESC
The Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology at the University of Ljubljana is one of the partners in the international master's program MESC (Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion, also known as i-MESC). Since its establishment in 2004, the program has been recognized as an educational initiative of the Alistore Network of Excellence, addressing the growing need for education in the fields of electrochemistry and green technologies, which are part of the European Green Deal. This week, from July 3 to July 5, 2024, in Amiens, France, the program is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

ECOTOPIA: “Living in Ljubljana has been an amazing experience”

EUTOPIA Review
The publication EUTOPIA Review is a meeting point of ideas, a platform that gives space to different voices and schools of thought, as well as a forum for interdisciplinary scientific discussions. The publication contains the papers of the most promising researchers in the EUTOPIA Alliance, and the honor of writing the first chapter of the first edition belonged to Slovenian scientist and Nobel lavreate, prof. dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj. She wrote about the role of the city in reducing global pressures on the environment.

UL celebrated EUTOPIA day for the first time: international networking to tackle climate challenges
Yesterday, the University of Ljubljana (UL) celebrated EUTOPIA day for the first time with a series of events on climate challenges and finding solutions for a sustainable future. Experts and students experts discussed and presented how UL, researchers and researchers are tackling and finding solutions to climate challenges at the European Union House in Ljubljana. The Alliance Day was held simultaneously at all ten partner universities and celebrated the efforts to create a common higher education space that fosters the development of education, research and innovation both locally and globally.

Food for thought: discussing the menu of the future with scientists
The University of Ljubljana invites you to the Food for thought Festival, a series of interdisciplinary events organised by the University in collaboration with the "Jožef Stefan" Institute and the Institute of Chemistry. The festival menu has a sustainable theme and brings together researchers, UL alumni and students around a common table to discuss current societal issues and the challenges of creating sustainable food systems. The events, which will take place between 23 and 25 April, are free of charge,intended for the broader public and (most of them) can also be attended online.
