Through a comparative analysis of various tools in terms of assessment strategies, learning analytics, planning, and feedback options, you’ll gain a better understanding of the tools that can meaningfully support the formative assessment of the learning process. You’ll also learn more about the capabilities of the tools presented.

In this workshop, you will learn about games in education, become familiar with the concept of gamification, and explore the teaching approaches of learning through games and learning by creating games. You’ll gain numerous ideas and learn about various ICT tools that enable the integration of game elements or pre-made educational games into the teaching process, as well as ICT tools that can be used to create educational games.

In this workshop, you will learn about collaborative learning and computer-supported collaborative learning, facilitated by virtual learning environments such as GoConqr, Edmodo, Nearpod, Moodle, Google Classroom, Trello, and Padlet. You will discover how these tools can greatly enrich and facilitate project-based learning.

In this workshop, you will learn about innovative teaching methods that effectively support and enhance the use of technology in the learning process. To this end, you will learn about Mayer’s principles, the TPACK model, and the SAMR model, and apply them when creating multimedia learning materials. You will become familiar with various online tools that you can use to create interactive learning materials, such as interactive presentations, interactive videos, adaptive learning materials, and various other activities.

During the workshop, you will learn about the basic concepts related to learning analytics and discover its potential in various learning environments. The learning environments we will focus on – which can provide comprehensive support for the teaching process – are Moodle, MS Teams, Schoology and Google Classroom. One section of the workshop will also be devoted to the potential of learning analytics within various tools that support specific aspects of the teaching process (e.g. content delivery, formative assessment of students’ learning), so that you can explore the possibilities of learning analytics using ICT, even if you do not use collaborative learning environments. As learning analytics is very closely linked to the analysis of one’s own teaching, the workshop will introduce you to some best practices and tools that will enable you to analyse your own teaching.

In this workshop, you will learn how to track student progress using reports and the gradebook in the Moodle virtual learning environment. To this end, you will learn about general guidelines and get an overview of learning analytics in the virtual learning environment; you will also practice setting up the gradebook and using various reports in Moodle.

In this workshop, you will learn about the basic features of the virtual learning environment Moodle and how to use it most effectively in the teaching process. First, you’ll learn about the basic options for organizing the learning process and materials, as well as the basic ways to present content in the virtual learning environment. You’ll then explore collaborative learning in the virtual learning environment and try your hand at creating collaborative activities, such as forums, chats, glossaries, and wikis. You’ll also learn about various activities for assessing knowledge, such as assignments, quizzes, surveys, and multiple-choice questions, and by the end of the workshop, you’ll explore a few more ways to incorporate gamification into the virtual learning environment.

During the workshop, you will discover advanced activities in the Moodle virtual classroom and learn how to use the virtual classroom effectively in the teaching process. You will be introduced to Moodle activities such as workshops, books, checklists, lessons, databases and responses, as well as how to create interactive materials using the H5P plugin. You will also learn how to monitor students’ progress using reports and the gradebook within the online learning environment.

You will become familiar with the basics of moving around and navigating the online classroom, managing course administration, creating folders and tags to organize materials, creating pages and books to present content, adding files and web links, and exploring options for creating competency frameworks and using the Booking activity to make reservations for various events within the virtual learning environment.
