Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology

The Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the University of Ljubljana (UL FKKT) fosters fundamental, applied and developmental research in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering and technical safety, striving to achieve excellence and the highest quality. On the basis of its own research work and its own and foreign research achievements, it trains leading scientists and professionals who are qualified to lead and implement sustainable development, taking into account the traditions of the European Enlightenment and humanism and human rights. It shares its achievements in science and technology with other universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad.

In this way, it contributes its share to the world's treasure trove of knowledge and transfers knowledge from it to the Slovenian environment. By cooperating with business, it promotes the use of its research and educational achievements and contributes to the development and progress of the country. UL FKKT bases its research, education and public activities on the principles of professional excellence, ensuring the highest possible quality, freedom of creativity and the general academic freedom of its colleagues and students.
