Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana offers undergraduate and postgraduate studies, which are carried out at the Department of General Medicine and the Department of Dental Medicine. Classes are held at the UL MF and in public health institutions that have the status of educational institutions. Graduates of integrated master's study programmes obtain the title of Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Dental Medicine. The UL MF also offers postgraduate programmes for obtaining a Doctor of Science degree. In addition, the faculty participates in undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes at other faculties and colleges that are members of the University of Ljubljana. The UL MF carries out scientific and research work as a prerequisite for educational work and scientific research work in accordance with the programme of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. It participates in domestic and foreign scientific projects. The Faculty of Medicine is involved in international cooperation programmes in the medical sciences, which represent the highest level of expertise in the fields covered by its institutes.
