About the programme

The doctoral programme in the Built Environment is a scientific study programme in the fields of civil engineering, geodesy, planning and spatial planning, and geology. By studying in the programme, doctoral students acquire the ability to think scientifically and solve scientific questions, and are trained to collaborate in solving complex professional issues with an interdisciplinary approach.The main objective of the doctoral study programme is to train highly qualified researchers in specific scientific fields. Upon completion of the doctoral programme, the doctoral student will be trained to address research problems using state-of-the-art scientific methods, to critically assess research results and to transfer new technologies and knowledge into practice.

How to apply

The Call for enrolment for doctoral programmes in the academic year 2025/2026 will be published presumably in February or March 2025.

For the call for enrolment, candidates have to apply on the eVŠ online portal.

At the latest at the time of enrolment, the candidate must submit a written agreement from the mentor or possible co-mentor to accept the mentoring or co-mentoring. At the same time, the candidate must also submit a brief conceptual outline of the research.
