The aim of the interdisciplinary programme of Computer Science and Mathematics is to provide training in the theoretical foundations of computer science and the related modern branches of discrete mathematics and computing.
Graduates acquire a wide range of knowledge in the basics of computer and information science, enabling them to understand and later on develop new achievements in this area. Furthermore, this study programme continues to produce highly-qualified experts who are trained to work with new technologies yet to be developed, whilst continuing and expanding research and discoveries in computer science and computer mathematics.
Graduates also have a good grasp of background knowledge and can work in new interdisciplinary fields where they can apply their expertise both in theoretical computer science and the relevant mathematical support fields, such as certain disciplines of biotechnology (e.g. genetics and bioinformatics), biomedical sciences, theoretical chemistry and so on.

The interdisciplinary academic bachelor study programme Administrative informatics, provided by the Faculty of Administration and the Faculty of Computer and Information Science provides students with diverse, interdisciplinary knowledge in administration and information science.
With such diverse knowledge, students should have the necessary competencies for an in-depth understanding of administration, governance, and management processes, their critical analysis, and development of information solutions that present a foundation for their better implementation.
Programme graduates will be able to develop and maintain comprehensive information solutions, both the information systems as well as the necessary hardware and software. The study programme will thus train modern experts in the field of administrative information science, capable of pursuing a career in public administration, public sector, or enterprise sector at home or anywhere in the European Union.
The basic goal of the programme is to offer students a greater selection of content provided by the faculties. Mobility of students who will be able to participate in different academic environment, will ensure a higher quality of study, as both faculties endeavour to provide as high a quality of the study programme as possible.
With mobility and joint work of students and teachers of partner faculties, the joint study programme introduces an interdisciplinary dimension, thus increasing the value of results of the pedagogic and research and development work, and enhancing graduate employability.
The study programme is offered jointly by the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Become a very competitive graduate of the interdisciplinary study programme of the University of Ljubljana, which combines some of the best topics such as telecommunications, computing, audio-video production, creativity, business skills and communication. These skills will enable you to apply for one of the 900,000 vacancies in Europe and compete for work in the most successful and innovative companies at home and around the world. In addition, the knowledge acquired from the university study program Multimedia is an excellent springboard for continuation of studies and research work at home and abroad. Above all, you will master everything you need to bring your talent and imagination to life in the digital world.
