EU Sparks for Climate: European Citizens Hackathon Championship is looking for European citizens and researchers who are eager to collaborate in order to find solutions that can help us to cope with and adapt to climate crisis.

EU Sparks for Climate is an international competition where citizens and researchers will collaborate to develop innovative technological and social solutions to climate challenges. The project is funded by the European Commission and implemented by a consortium led by Barrabés.biz together with Energy Cities, EURADA, ECSA and EuroCrowd.

The competition will start with a phase in which online hackathons will take place in 22 European locations, allowing any citizen of the member states and partner countries that are part of the initiative to participate in the competition. In each of the 22 hackathons there will be two winning teams that will access a dedicated training and mentoring program where they can acquire new skills and prepare for the final, which will take place in October. The winners of the European Final will receive exclusive training, access to investors, tailored mentorship, support to scale solutions, and 5.000€ per team.

The Ljubljana Hackaton will take place 29 May - 1 June, and will be held online.
